The ski resort Karakol operates from 16th of November 2018

    From November 16th 2018, Karakol ski base start to work, but the official opening of the winter season 2018-2019 will be held November 24-25 2018. A detailed announcement of the event with the program, sponsors and prizes will be published on Facebook page 

    Modern ski base "Karakol" is located in Kyrgyzstan, 7 km from Karakol city (Issyk-Kul region).In Soviet times, it was used for training the country's Olympic team. In 2004, the base was completely modernized. Today Karakol is an ideal place not only for training athletes, but also for active recreation. 

    The ski resort "Karakol" is a unique place with natural conditions. The base is located at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level, on the slopes of the Tien Shan mountains among the majestic coniferous forests. The mild climate, caused by the influence of the non-freezing alpine lake Issyk-Kul, will allow you to get maximum pleasure from riding. In winter, the air temperature during the day rarely drops below -5 degrees, and a large number of sunny days allows you to ride and sunbathe at the same time. The ski season begins in November and lasts until April. All this time you cannot worry about the snow - it covers the earth in a dense layer, with a thickness that ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 meters.
