Peak Gastello 4240 and Aiu-Tor 4313m

This program is great who already has experience in rock and ice climbing climbing and want to increase own level. This tour giving possibility to climb to two summits within 1 expedition.


Program:

Day 1 – Karakol - Aiu-Tor valley, 14km, + 900m

Meeting in hotel and cheching equipment and closes of group. Transfer to Karakol gorge until the first bridge, whence we start our hiking Aiu-Tor gorge. We will set our camp before rocks with name Sheep's foreheads. Camp fire in the evening.

Day 2 - Aiu-Tor - bottom of Peaks Gastello and Aiu-Tor, 6km, +900m

Climbing up steep part to Sheep's foreheads where we will see nameplate of Latvian climber Ruslenis Varnecras who died in this mountains during Soviet time. Setting the camp on glacier on the bottom of Peaks Gastello and Aiu-Tor on altitude 3900m for three nights.

Day 3 - Storming the mountain Gastello. Level of difficulty 2B

We are storming the mountain early morning. Climbing to Peak Gastello mainly ice climbing with small rock climbing on the top. Tilt level around 60-70 degree. Great views around on altitude 4240m to different mountain ranges and summits will take your breath away. Group pictures and descending down to camp.

Day 4 - Storming the mountain Aiu-Tor. Level of difficulty 3A

We are storming the mountain early morning through pass Prizyvnikov. Climbing to Peak Aiu-Tor mainly rock climbing with small ice climbing on the way. Great views around on altitude 4313m to different mountain ranges and summits will take your breath away. Group pictures and descending down to camp.

Day 5 - Aiu-Tor - Alp camp, 7km, - 1300m

Descending down to Alp camp, where you will have possibility to take hot sauna and cold beer, also you can stay in comfortable yurt or tents on local base camp. You will love this place for it's beaty and calmness.

Day 6 - Alp camp - Karakol, 12km, - 500m

Descending down from Alp camp to Karakol. Close to noon car will pick you up and bring you to place of your stay in Karakol. We say goodbye to each other, exchange photos and video materials from your unforgettable climbing trip.

Climbers should have their own equipment and staff for climbing. Possibility to rent all the necessary equipment. 
The climatic conditions:
This trip passes at altitude of 2,000 to 4313 meters, in the area of glaciers. In case of good weather temperature rises up to + 30C during day time, and may fall to -10C at night. Sometimes it snows, snows with rain and biting wind. The weather is unstable in the mountains. The weather may change quickly several times a day. Protracted rains are possible. That’s why sleeping bag shouldn’t be less than “medium” class, with comfortable conditions up to -10C. Also must have: windbreaker, water-repellent, thermal underwear, fleece sweater, mountain shoes suitable for crampons, spare shoes sandals ( it is possible cross the river ford), sunglasses, cap, gloves, flashlight, headlight, supergaiters, rainwear.
